I feel like I learned some very valuable things about lighting, my camera, photoshop, and the different ways to capture a moment. I loved learning about how to get the best lighting for a photo, and I found myself using the different things that I was taught even when I wasn't taking pictures for class. Learning about photoshop was really fun, and I have been doing more editing to my pictures at home. (I got the newest version of photoshop for Christmas). This class has given me a lot more skills to take pictures that have good lighting, and look more professional.
Question 2: What did you learn about yourself this semester?
This semester, I learned that I get pretty impatient when I feel like I can't do something right the first time. When I was taking my light photos, I got very frustrated with myself because I wasn't doing it right. But I think that the projects in this class taught me to take my time on things, and that you have to try your hardest to get the result that you desire. I have gained a lot of patience since the beginning of this semester.
Question 3: What do you wish we had done that we did not?
I wish that we could have done more work in the darkroom, and developed more photos. I think that my favorite part of the class was when we got to develop our own photos that we had taken. It made me feel very accomplished to be able to hole something that I made in my hands. I liked the work we did in photoshop, I just wish we could have developed more of our photos.
Question 4: What was your struggle?
My biggest struggle in this class was working with photoshop. I have never been very good with computers, so I found myself getting very frustrated when I couldn't figure out how to do something. As the semester continued, I started to like using photoshop A LOT more, and now I even use it at home.
Question 5: What did you conquer?
I conquered my frustration, and I also conquered my lack of motivation to do things well in school. I had been stuck in a place in my life where I didn't have any motivation to try to do a good job on things anymore, but throughout this semester, I have started to conquer that. I started wanting to try and take photos, and actually do a good job on them.
